If you want to burn more calories and lose weight, the treadmills at Burleson Athletic Club are a good choice. In order to burn fat and calories you need to raise your heart rate to a level that is above normal. When it comes to cardiovascular fitness, treadmills are great because they allow you to raise the core temperature of your body which
will burn excess calories. Oskar recommends a good cardiovascular workout using a treadmill which will also promote better blood flow to your body as a whole. A treadmill workout incorporated into your strength training program will also allow you to lose weight at an even faster rate. The average number of calories burned on a speed of five to six miles per hour on a treadmill is approximately three hundred calories. How long do you spend on a treadmill during an average workout?
At the arrival of every New Year people often commit to changes in their lives by way of New Year’s resolutions. In the Health and Fitness industry we always see a burst of activity that slowly diminishes a few months into the year. Many people do in fact make extraordinary improvements when they integrate healthy choices into their daily lifestyles, while others unfortunately never fully give it a chance and fall into their old habits.
It only takes 3-4 hours each week of regular exercise to promote great health dividends. That is a small amount of time when you consider that the average American spends 16-20 hours each week in front of the television.
Our staff at Burleson Athletic Club would like to encourage you to focus on the positive side which is the power you have to change yourself. Begin by taking small steps and not doing too much all at once. For example, try not to begin an exercise program while going on a drastic diet. Oskar’s preference is that you do not “diet” at all but change your eating habits and incorporate healthy food choices into your daily life. Portion control is a good first step in your changing your eating habits along with cutting out sodas if you drink those. You can progress from that step to reduce white sugar from your food and so on. Remember it always very important for you to consult with your physician before you begin any fitness program.
